Who is Chattison for?
What can Chattison do for me?
Want to take a screenshot of a particular chat?
Want to delete your chat messages if they are older than, say, 2 years? Or 5 years? Get rid of that old stuff?
Want to export the chat history, including all messages?
Want to remove inappropriate content in a Team channel?
Chattison automates tasks that would take much longer if you’d perform them manually.
Who needs all that?
There are different roles that can benefit from Chattison.
Freelancers
Freelancers often work in multiple guest tenants, collaborating with their clients.
They usually are removed when a project is done. And all those Teams chats are gone, too; but they contain valuable information!
Using Chattison, freelancers can back up Teams chats.
Teachers
Teachers might be owners of multiple Teams where students communicate. They act as moderators, detecting and removing inappropriate content when necessary.
Using Chattison, teachers get notified of inappropriate content. They also have the option to quickly remove multiple - or all - messages in a Teams channel.
Privacy-minded and risk-aware individuals
The right to be forgotten is sometimes cited as being vital in the digital age.
As a privacy-minded individual you’d probably not have years of old chat messages buried in Teams chats. People change. Those old posts might not reflect anymore who you are today.
As a risk-aware individual you are aware of data breaches and leaks that happen on a weekly basis. Why risk your data being available on the internet one day? Delete it if it’s not needed anymore.
Using Chattison, individuals can delete their chat messages based on the age of those messages.
Employees
As employee, you probably know that valuable information sometimes is buried in Teams chats, where it doesn’t belong.
How to get information out 1:1 and group chats, without getting a headache trying to use the Teams client?
Using Chattison, employees can copy chat contents in no time to the place it belongs (for example in a channel and not in a 1:1 chat).
How does Chattison do all that?
Chattison is a browser extension. You add it to your browser and it’s active.
This is also one requirement for Chattison to work: Teams has to run in the browser so that Chattison has access. Native and mobile apps are not supported.
